Violence Against Women Act Compliance (VAWA) Resources

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides protections for tenants who have experienced domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking regardless of race, gender identity, or sexual orientation. VAWA's reauthorization in 2013 created new protections for victims of these acts who live in low-income, federally-assisted housing. The following are forms from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) relevant to compliance with VAWA's housing protections.
